Bishop David’s pastoral visit of St. Mary’s parish

On Sunday, December 12, Bishop David Motiuk, Apostolic Administrator of the Eparchy of New Westminster, made a pastoral visit to the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Parish (St. Mary’s) in Vancouver.

During the Divine Liturgy, Bishop David, reflecting on the Sunday Gospel, addressed the faithful with the words: «The name of God is mercy ” – people were happy to hear and accept God’s merciful word.

Parish Pastor : Father Joseph Pidskalny, O.S.B.M thanked the Bishop for the fatherly visit, and at the end, all those present together prayed for peace in Ukraine and the preservation of the lives of Ukraine soldiers. 

У Неділю 12 грудня, Владика Давид Мотюк Апостольський адміністратор єпархії Нью-Вестмінстера здійснив душпастирський візит до парафії Покрови Пресвятої Богородиці («Марії») у Ванкувері.

Під час Божественної Літургії Владика Давид, роздумуючи над недільним Євангелієм, звернувся до вірних зі словами: «Ім’я Господнє – милосердя» – люди були щасливі почути і прийняти милосердне слово Боже. 

Парох парафії: отець Йосиф Підскальний, ЧСВВ подякував Владиці за батьківський візит та на завершення усі присутні спільно помолилися за мир в Україні та збереження життя наших воїнів.
