БЛАГОСЛОВЕННИЙ ПОЧАТОК ТАБОРУ СВЯТОГО ВОЛОДИМИРА
У неділю 16 серпня 2026 року на таборі святого Володимира (Camp Tulahead) біля Принстона, Британська Колумбія, відбулася урочиста відкриваюча Божественна Літургія. Її очолив Владика Михайло Квятковський у співслужінні з отцем Михайлом Озоровичем та отцем Павлом Мицем.
Діти, волонтери й гості зібралися в колі навколо ватри під відкритим небом серед гір і сосен. Повітря було сповнене радості й очікування. Владика Михайло з теплою усмішкою звернувся до юних табірників. Його проповідь була живою, простою і близькою до дитячих сердець. Без складних богословських термінів він говорив так, ніби розповідав другу історію.
Особливу увагу Владика приділив Пресвятій Богородиці. Він почав з її дитинства як маленька Марія росла в храмі, молилася, слухала Слово Боже й готувала своє серце до великого покликання. Далі розповів про Благовіщення, коли Архангел Гавриїл приніс їй радісну звістку, про її покору й «Нехай буде мені за словом твоїм». І нарешті про народження Ісуса Христа у Вифлеємі, коли Марія стала Матір’ю Спасителя світу.
Діти слухали уважно, іноді посміхалися, іноді замислювалися. Проповідь Владики була не лекцією, а живою розмовою теплою, доступною і сповненою любові. Він показав, що Пресвята Богородиця не далека свята з ікони, а близька Мати, яка з дитинства вчила нас довіряти Богові й відкривати Йому своє серце.
Після Літургії Владика ще раз поблагословив усіх дітей і волонтерів, побажавши їм радісного, безпечного й духовно багатого табору. У повітрі відчувалося справжнє єднання Церкви, природи й дитячих сердець.
Так розпочався ‘CSV 2026’. З молитвою, благословенням і живим словом про Марію, яка веде нас до Христа.
Нехай Господь береже всіх дітей і тих, хто їх супроводжує цього літа.

A BLESSED BEGINNING FOR CAMP ST VOLODYMYR 2026
On Sunday, August 16, 2026, the solemn opening Divine Liturgy was celebrated at Camp St. Volodymyr at the site of Camp Tulahead near Princeton, British Columbia. It was led by Bishop (Metropolitan-elect) Michael Kwiatkowski, concelebrating with Father Mykhailo Ozorovych and Father Pavlo Myts.
Children, volunteers, and guests gathered in a circle around the campfire under the open sky amid the mountains and pines. The air was filled with joy and anticipation. Bishop Michael, with a warm smile, addressed the young campers. His homily was lively, simple, and close to the children’s hearts. Without complex theological terms, he spoke as if telling a story to a friend.
As the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos was being celebrated by the Church at that time, Bishop focused attention on the Most Holy Mother of God. He began with her childhood how little Mary spent time in the temple, prayed, listened to the Word of God, and prepared her heart for a great calling. He then spoke about the Annunciation, when the Archangel Gabriel brought her the joyful news, and about her humility and the words “Let it be done unto me according to your word.” And about the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem, when Mary became the Mother of the Saviour of the world, and the standing at the foot of the cross.
The children listened attentively, sometimes smiling, sometimes reflecting. The Bishop’s homily was not a lecture, but a living conversation warm, accessible, and full of love. He showed that the Most Holy Mother of our Lord is not a distant saint from an icon, but a close Mother who from her childhood teaches us to trust God and open our hearts to Him.
After the Liturgy, the Bishop once again blessed all the children and volunteers, wishing them a joyful, safe, and spiritually rich camp. A true sense of unity could be felt in the air between the Church, God’s nature, and the hearts of God’s children.
This is how ‘CSV 2026’ began. With prayer, blessing, and a living word about Mary, who leads us to Christ.
May the Lord protect all the children and those who accompany them this summer.
