Members of the Ukrainian Community - especially a large group from Holy Eucharist Cathedral parish - brought a proud Ukrainian presence to the annual Surrey Fusion Festival. The multicultural festival of nations, now in its 18th year, filled Holland Park in the city of Surrey, British Columbia, with colour, music, amazing food and just a lot of great fun and joy for families and all people of goodwill.
Ukraine’s Laskavo Prosymo pavilion offered arts, crafts, books, great traditional Ukrainian food and just fine, smiling hospitality for all visitors that stopped by.
One of the exciting moments was the “Parade of Culture” at the opening of the Festival that made its way to the “World Music Stage” with flags, signs, dazzling costumes and bursts of national pride and joy! See a glimpse of Ukrainians in the parade in the video clip provided!
